Our office hours are Monday through Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-4:30. Dan Bernier grew up in Waterville, the youngest son of prominent lawyer and former mayor Albert Bernier. He earned his B.A. degree from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and his J.D. degree from The New England School of Law in Boston, MA. While at NESL, Dan earned the American Jurisprudence Award for Estate Planning. He was awarded Volunteer Prosecutor of the Year for 1998, 1999 and 2000 for his volunteer work with the Kennebec County District Attorney’s Office. Most recently, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors- Maine (NAIFA-ME) chose Dan Bernier as the 2009 recipient of the prestigious J. Putnam Stevens Award for his contributions to Insurance Law in the State of Maine. The Maine State Legislature joined NAIFA-ME in recognizing Dan’s achievements in Insurance Regulation. Dan Bernier is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and a member and past president of the Waterville Bar Association. He is also a member of the Maine State Board for the Certification of Geologists and Soil Scientists and is presently on the Seton Village Board of Trustees. He served previously on the Maine State Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices. Dan is a past chair of the Finance Commission for the Parish of the Holy Spirit, a Roman Catholic group of churches. Dan is also an active member of the Greater Waterville Area Exchange Club, Knights of Columbus Council #13486 and enjoys attending Cub Scouts with his eldest son..
