About Smathers H Gary Attorney At Law Attorney Office: Smathers H Gary Attorney At Law provide I have lived in the Placer County area since 1972, and have been in practicing family law for 28 years.  After being admitted to the bar, I immediately embarked upon an extensive family law practice, emphasizing divorce, child custody, juvenile law and guardianship cases.  For approximately five years I worked on a juvenile justice panel, representing children and parents in child protective service cases.  I have extensive experience in child custody issues such as move away, abduction and restrictive visitation cases.  I have also served as a mediator/arbitrator and pro tem judge in family law matters for the Placer County Superior Court.  Currently, my practice serves cases in the surrounding counties of Placer, El Dorado, Nevada, Yuba, Sutter and Sacramento.  I truly empathize with my clients and understand that this is a difficult time in their lives.  You will be treated with dignity and respect.  I also understand that on many occasions aggressive action needs to be taken immediately.  We do not shy away from the difficult cases.  My staff and I understand that due to the nature of family law that the relationship can continue well beyond the final judgment; child custody and support issues need continued monitoring well beyond the end of the divorce case.  We look forward to serving your needs for as long as it takes.  We are there for you..
